Hepatitis SA provides confidential support for people affected by viral hepatitis, including a telephone information and support line, face-to-face information sessions and regular support groups at Port Adelaide and Hackney.

Hepatitis SA will be facilitating SMART Recovery Groups every Wednesday at 5:30pm - excluding public holidays - commencing 3rd January 2018. SMART Recovery is a free group program that assists people in dealing with problematic behaviours.

If you need to speak to someone for support on hepatitis-related issues, call our Helpline on 1800 437 222.

The Hepatitis SA Helpline is free, confidential and non-judgmental. It is available Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, to people living with hepatitis B or C, their family, friends, or service providers.

If you are affected by hepatitis B or C and would prefer to speak to somebody in person for support, call 1800 437 222 to make an appointment for a face-to-face session.

Calming the C support groups are peer-based information and support sessions facilitated by Hepatitis SA. There are currently two groups in metropolitan Adelaide at:

  • Hackney, every four weeks on Tuesdays 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm
  • Port Adelaide, every four weeks on Tuesdays, 12 pm to 2 pm
