To our community and partners,

In light of the latest recommendations from the Australian Government regarding COVID-19, Hepatitis SA is taking further steps to support social distancing and ensure as far as possible, the safety of our staff and community.

From Monday 23 March until further notice -

  • We will not be providing any education sessions, support groups or face-to-face information and support appointments
  • We will continue to provide clean needle program services both at Hackney and all other sites
  • We are investigating online education delivery and will promote this soon.

Where appropriate, staff will work from home. There will be a skeleton staff at our Hackney Road office and normal administration functions will be maintained as far as possible.

We will continue to answer telephone calls. Some calls may be diverted to staff working off-site or we may need to get the appropriate person to call you back. Whichever the case, we will try to make the process as smooth as possible. You may also email us or post articles to us through Australia Post.

Until further notice, we ask you, our community and colleagues, not to visit our office unless absolutely necessary.

If you are a clean needle program customer, we request that you do not come if you have flu-like symptoms or have recently returned from overseas or interstate. Instead, ask a friend who doesn’t have symptoms or hasn’t recently travelled, to collect the equipment for you. In addition, please be patient and co-operate with the staff member serving you so that social distancing is observed. We need our staff to stay safe and healthy so they may continue to provide this important service to you.

Thank you.
